The western lowland gorilla is one of two subspecies of the western gorilla that lives in montane, primary and secondary forests and lowland swamps in central Africa in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
After breakfast at 8:00 am, pick up in Kigali and drive to Nyanza to visit King's Palace then proceed to Huye to visit the Ethnographic museum and continue to Bukavu. On your way to Bukavu, you will be enjoying scenic drives through Nyungwe forest NP.
Overnight at Coco Lodge.
After early breakfast at 7:00 am, head to the Kahuzi-Biega National Park for the lowland gorilla trekking, an experience which takes 1-5 hours. After the trekking, if time allows, do a short Bukavu City tour before overnight at Coco Lodge.
After breakfast at 8:00 A.M, drive back to Kigali and drop off at the airport.
